Formerly an otter pelt warehouse built by Russian American governor Alexander Baranov near the turn of the 19th century, the museum displays prehistoric native artifacts, remnants of Russian colonization, mementos of Alaska’s territorial days and World War II memorabilia. It is located near the Kodiak Port and Harbor.
Summer hours: Mon. - Sat. 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.; Sun. noon - 4:00 p.m. Winter hours: Tue. - Sat. 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.; Closed Mon. & Sun. Special opening upon request
Adults $3; Children 12 and under are free
