Description:

The Kodiak National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center offers displays, films, and information about the refuge, which covers two-thirds of Kodiak Island and a few of its neighboring islands. The refuge provides habitats for red foxes, river otters, deer, weasels, mountain goats and over 250 species of birds. Visitors can also partake of the fine outdoor activities of the refuge, including hiking, camping and fishing. It is located just north of the Kodiak Airport, near St. Paul Harbor.

Hours of Operation:

Open Memorial Day - Labor Day: Mon. - Fri. 8:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.; Sat. - Sun. noon - 4:00 p.m.; Labor Day - Memorial Day: Mon. - Fri. 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
